Backend Developer – Remote Contract (up to $70/hr)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our team on a part‑time contract basis. You will work remotely to design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services that power our applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize systems for reliability, security, and efficiency.
• Write clean, well‑documented, and thoroughly tested code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor peers, and share knowledge.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, focusing on root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in backend development using modern languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
• Extensive experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Strong proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases and data‑modeling principles.
• Deep understanding of system security, authentication, and authorization best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
