Avionics Component Service Shop Technician

About the role

Skyservice is seeking an Avionics Component Service Shop Technician to act as the primary liaison between customers and the avionics shop. The role ensures timely communication, accurate documentation, and efficient processing of work orders in a fast‑paced business aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding avionics work orders and service updates, delivering professional and prompt responses.
• Coordinate customer requirements with internal departments, maintaining clear communication and accurate documentation.
• Manage, track, and prioritize all incoming and ongoing work orders, scheduling tasks with technicians and supervisors.
• Lead the development and implementation of a SharePoint‑based tracking system to improve shop efficiency and transparency.
• Identify and implement process improvements for administrative and operational workflows.
• Train team members on new tools, ensuring consistent usage and data integrity.
• Assist with inventory tracking, procurement coordination, and compliance documentation.
• Support data entry of production paperwork and flag any errors for correction.
• Handle onboarding documentation for new employees and contractors, including IT change requests.
• Coordinate in‑house and out‑of‑base training, including travel arrangements and preparation of training packages.
• Provide backup support for Safety Management System, training, and health & safety functions.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under dynamic schedules.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, supervisors, and other internal teams.

Required skills

• Experience with SharePoint for tracking and documentation.
