Assistant Store Manager – Retail

About the role

Torrid is looking for a full‑time Assistant Store Manager to help create an inclusive, high‑energy environment for both customers and team members. You will work closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, profit, and a memorable shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving company objectives and KPI targets.
• Maintain operational excellence through policy compliance, loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.
• Recruit, train, and develop a fashion‑focused sales team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service that builds loyalty and positive connections.
• Implement merchandise strategies and ensure a clean, inviting store layout.
• Communicate effectively with the Store Manager and District Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum six months of specialty/apparel retail management experience with proven sales results.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while prioritising customer experience.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing fashion trends, schedules, and store needs.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift packages up to 50 lb, and use ladders or step stools.
