Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and be responsible for full‑cycle accounting for the parent company and its subsidiaries. This includes managing accounts receivable/payable, month‑end close, tax filings, intercompany transactions, budgeting and compliance while collaborating with internal teams, local accountants and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day accounting tasks such as AR, AP and bank reconciliations for the parent company.
• Prepare and file monthly GST and PST returns.
• Assist in month‑end financial and management reporting and support year‑end audit activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and evaluate existing accounting processes and internal controls.
• Track costs for local and global projects.
• Maintain subsidiary books, support VAT filing and manage intercompany transactions.
• Produce monthly financial statements and management reports for the parent company.
• Collaborate with local accountants to close books, prepare year‑end statements and ensure bank compliance.
• Coordinate payroll, sales, corporate income tax and other statutory filings with local tax accountants.
• Work with subsidiary managers on annual budgets, cash‑flow analysis and bank‑covenant compliance.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• Minimum 3 years of full‑cycle accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or multi‑entity environments.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics NAV (advantageous).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office suite.
