Onboarding Specialist – Remote (Canada)

About the role

Wagepoint is looking for a talented Onboarding Specialist to help small Canadian businesses adopt its payroll platform. You will guide new clients through setup, ensure compliance, and set them up for long‑term success while working fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end onboarding process from account submission to the first successful payroll run.
• Configure payroll accounts accurately and ensure compliance with Wagepoint policies and government regulations.
• Deliver training via calls, emails, and online sessions to help clients navigate the platform.
• Track, document, and resolve onboarding issues by collaborating with Sales, Risk, and Support teams.
• Maintain complete onboarding records in internal tools and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• 1+ year of experience processing Canadian payroll or supporting payroll onboarding.
• Solid understanding of payroll compliance and taxation basics.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain payroll concepts clearly.
• Experience managing KYC/KYB and other compliance documentation.
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

• HubSpot (CRM) proficiency.
• Google Workspace.
