Staff Nurse – Ambulatory Gynae

About the role

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the Ambulatory Gynaecology team at Mayo University Hospital. This full‑time, permanent position provides direct nursing care to women attending outpatient gynaecology services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care to patients in the ambulatory gynaecology clinic.
• Perform clinical assessments, administer medications and IV therapy, and monitor patient progress.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe and effective patient pathways.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to HSE policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse with current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience caring for patients in a gynaecology or ambulatory setting.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
