Physics PhD – Quantum Mechanics Expert (Remote, Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Physics PhD with deep expertise in quantum mechanics to support AI research labs. The position is remote, contract based, and involves creating physics‑driven data sets and problem statements for machine‑learning models.

Key responsibilities

• Develop challenging physics problems that inform AI innovations.
• Create high‑quality data sets for training and evaluating AI models.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to improve model outputs.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet weekly task commitments (4–6 tasks per week).
• Apply knowledge of statistical mechanics, condensed matter, and AMO physics to guide data generation.

Profile sought

• PhD in Physics with specialization in advanced quantum mechanics, electrodynamics, or classical mechanics.
• Graduate degree from a university in the US, UK, Canada, or Western Europe.
• High attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication in English.
