Family & General Practitioner – Palliative Care Role

About the role

This is a unique opportunity for a Family or General Practitioner to join a collaborative palliative care program serving both Kelowna General Hospital and the Cancer Centre. The position blends acute inpatient consulting with outpatient care in the Cancer Pain and Symptom Management Clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consults for palliative care patients at Kelowna General Hospital.
• Deliver outpatient services at the Cancer Centre’s Pain and Symptom Management Clinic.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development.
• Engage in academic activities and teaching as needed.

Required profile

• Medical degree and active licence with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
• Eligibility to practice with BC Cancer and Kelowna General Hospital.
• Commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centred palliative care.
