Emergency Medicine Physician – Kelowna General Hospital

About the role

Join a vibrant, collegial Emergency Department at Kelowna General Hospital, a tertiary referral centre serving over 100,000 ED visits annually. As an Emergency Medicine physician you will practice in a community‑hospital atmosphere while accessing Level 2 Trauma, cardiac critical care, and a wide range of complex medical cases.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to adult and pediatric patients.
• Lead trauma resuscitations and manage cardiac critical care interventions such as ECMO and coronary revascularizations.
• Collaborate daily with consultants and specialists, often on a first‑name basis.
• Participate in bedside teaching, simulation sessions, Grand Rounds, and other academic activities.
• Contribute to a supportive team culture through mentorship and camaraderie.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible for certification in Emergency Medicine (FRCPC).
• Eligibility to practice medicine in British Columbia.
• Strong interest in trauma, cardiac critical care, and medical education.
• Commitment to teamwork and community engagement.

Required skills
