About the role

McGill University invites world‑leading researchers to apply for the Canada Impact+ Research Chair in Clean Technology and Resource Value Chains. The position is a tenure‑track appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, with the expectation to start within 12 months of award acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead ambitious, transformative research projects in clean technology and resource value chains.
• Build and maintain high‑performing, interdisciplinary research teams.
• Collaborate with industry, government, and international partners to translate discoveries into commercial and societal impact.
• Develop the next generation of highly qualified personnel in priority research areas.
• Contribute to McGill’s academic units and affiliated health centres as appropriate.

Required profile

• Recent track record of significant research accomplishments.
• Internationally based (working and residing outside Canada) at the time of application.
• Eligible for appointment as Associate Professor with promotion to Full Professor within two years, or directly as Full Professor.
• Commitment to advancing Canada’s strategic priority areas.
