Site Operations Manager (Plant Operations Lead)

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Site Operations Manager to lead our Vancouver manufacturing facility. The role oversees production, packaging and maintenance in a high‑speed, matrix environment while championing safety, food quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end production and packaging operations to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Own the annual operational budget, drive cost‑saving initiatives and monitor P&L performance.
• Lead a unionised workforce, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and fostering collaborative labour‑management relations.
• Set and track aggressive KPIs such as OEE, yield, labour efficiency and waste reduction.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies to optimise processes and eliminate waste.
• Maintain world‑class Food Safety (SQF/BRC) and Occupational Health & Safety standards across all shifts.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Business or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of senior operations or plant management experience, preferably in the Food/CPG sector.
• Proven success working in a matrix organisation and with a unionised workforce.
• Strong data‑driven decision‑making ability.
