About the role
Inertia is seeking a Mechatronics or Embedded Systems Engineer to join its product development team. You will work alongside strategists, designers, engineers, and manufacturers to create innovative electromechanical products for sectors such as medical devices, diagnostics, assistive technology, and alternative energy.
Key responsibilities
- Design and engineer electromechanical solutions that balance functionality, manufacturability, and user satisfaction.
- Plan, execute, and document design, build, testing, and prototyping activities for new products.
- Gather and translate customer and end‑user requirements using systematic research methods.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver robust design solutions.
- Manage project scope, budget, timeline, and deliverables while fostering cross‑disciplinary relationships.
- Apply Inertia’s Quality Management System and drive continuous improvement.
- Promote workplace health, safety, and wellness.
Required profile
- University degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience designing and optimizing electromechanical systems.
- Proven ability to integrate mechanical, electronics, and software engineering fundamentals to solve complex design challenges.
- Strong project and people leadership capabilities.
