Truck & Transport Technician – Peterbilt

About the role

Brandt is seeking a skilled Truck & Transport Technician for its Estevan Peterbilt location. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining trucks, trailers, coaches and buses within a shop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate the condition of on‑road equipment, diagnose issues, and perform assembly/disassembly and repairs efficiently.
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely.
• Operate hand and power tools, related instruments, and computer systems.
• Accurately document all unit information, actions taken and time spent on work orders.
• Continuously assess service task hazards and ensure work meets safety standards.
• Utilize computer applications to record maintenance, inspection and diagnosis data.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers to diagnose problems and meet warranty requirements.
• Road‑test equipment and verify repairs as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Ability to evaluate equipment condition and perform diagnostics and repairs.
• Proficiency in safely handling secondary materials and equipment.
• Experience using hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments and computer systems.
• Strong documentation skills for work orders and maintenance records.
• Awareness of safety hazards and commitment to safe work practices.
• Capability to work with engineers on warranty and technical issues.
• Competence in road‑testing vehicles to confirm repairs.
