Warehouse Shipper / Receiver

About the role

Emco Victoria is seeking hard‑working, kind, and dynamic individuals to join its fast‑paced warehouse team. You will handle both shipping and receiving functions, ensuring orders are processed accurately and inventory is maintained to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship customer orders, verifying items against shipping documentation.
• Receive vendor shipments and customer returns, check packing slips, and record discrepancies.
• Load and unload trucks, operate a forklift and other material‑handling equipment safely.
• Perform cycle counts, bin locating, and put‑away of incoming material.
• Document freight discrepancies, initiate claims, and complete required transportation paperwork.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment by removing debris and reporting safety issues.
• Assist teammates at the customer service counter and support other tasks as directed by the Profit Centre Manager.

Required profile

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education is an asset.
• Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal communication.
• Ability to develop product knowledge quickly.
• Willingness to learn safe forklift operation and other equipment.
