Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

As a Purchasing Coordinator you will support Wessuc’s operations by sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of goods, materials, equipment, and services needed across the organization. You will leverage supplier relationships, negotiate favourable terms, and ensure timely delivery while balancing cost, quality, and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Source, procure, and expedite delivery of goods, materials, equipment, and services in line with operational needs.
• Research and evaluate suppliers, solicit bids, and negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve best value.
• Leverage Wessuc’s buying power to identify cost‑reduction opportunities, reduce lead times, and ensure continuity of supply.
• Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support efficient procurement processes.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing to support business needs and minimize disruption.
• Coordinate logistics, delivery schedules, and resolve issues related to shortages, delays, or quality concerns.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess cost, quality, risk, and market conditions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to respond to internal customer inquiries and clarify purchasing requirements.
• Experience in industrial, construction, environmental services, or fleet‑based organizations is an asset.
