About the role
Join the Bissell Centre’s culinary team as a Sous‑chef, providing nutritious meals to residents and staff in a health‑care setting. This part‑time, casual role involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring safety standards, and supporting a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of several restaurants.
- Ensure food safety and handling standards are consistently met.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 1‑2 years of culinary experience.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to pass a criminal record check.
Required skills
- Food preparation.
- Food safety/handling skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting 45‑60 kg.
