About the role

Join CIBC’s Technology team as a Software/Application Developer Co‑op and contribute to the bank’s digital transformation. You will help design, develop, test, and deliver flexible, user‑friendly banking solutions that enhance the client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, code, and test software components for straightforward assignments.
• Review, analyze, and modify existing programming systems, including debugging and documentation.
• Participate in technical design, development, and integration of cross‑functional, multi‑platform application systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications.
• Communicate progress and technical details clearly in both verbal and written form.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program and returning to full‑time studies.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work on multiple tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to complete assessments and skills tests as part of the hiring process.
