Sessional Lecturer – Advanced Written Communication for Health Care

About the role

The University of Toronto Mississauga is seeking a Sessional Lecturer to teach HSC406H5S – Advanced Written Communication for Health Care. This term‑based appointment involves delivering in‑person lectures and practical sessions to undergraduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course content, including lectures and hands‑on activities.
• Develop, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Calculate final grades, submit them promptly, and manage make‑up exams when required.
• Maintain regular office hours to support student learning.
• Supervise any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in this course or similar undergraduate courses.
• Strong academic credentials and ability to engage students effectively.
