ESL High School Teacher (Temporary, Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher to join a public high school on a temporary basis. The position is remote, serving a rural community, with relocation costs covered by the employer.

Key responsibilities

• Discuss student progress with learners, parents, and school officials.
• Participate in educational conferences, teacher‑training workshops and staff meetings.
• Supervise teaching assistants.
• Assign, administer and correct homework and tests.
• Prepare lesson materials in line with the approved curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records and meet tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1–2 years of teaching experience or equivalent.
• TESL/TELF/TESOL certification.
• Provincial or territorial teaching certificate.
• Clear criminal record check.
• Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail and strong interpersonal communication.
