Senior Regional Security Analyst

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Regional Security Analyst for its Americas team, based in Toronto, Canada. The role supports the Regional Chief Security Officer Americas in driving the security agenda across the region, overseeing cybersecurity, information security and physical security programs.

Key responsibilities

• Translate global cybersecurity strategy, policies and standards into actionable regional implementation plans.
• Establish and maintain regional security governance forums, reporting mechanisms and performance metrics.
• Serve as the regional escalation point for material cybersecurity risks and decisions.
• Own and manage the regional cyber risk register, overseeing risk identification, assessment, treatment and acceptance.
• Lead security risk assessments for systems, products, vendors and business initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regional privacy, data‑protection and customer security regulations.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory inquiries and customer security reviews.
• Coordinate with regional security leadership and act as the primary security authority for executives, technology teams and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management and compliance within a large, multinational organization.
• Strong understanding of regional regulatory requirements related to privacy and data protection.
• Ability to influence senior executives and collaborate across technology and business functions.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a track record of leading security risk assessments and incident response activities.
