Quality Control Supervisor

About the role

Park Paving Ltd., a 50‑year‑old road construction leader in Edmonton, is looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to lead its QC team. You will ensure all paving projects meet or exceed industry standards while supporting client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and guide Quality Control Technicians.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality control procedures and protocols.
• Review and interpret test results to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients on quality issues.
• Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship and material quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to quality control.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Train and mentor new quality control staff.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven quality control experience in road construction.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt, concrete, and aggregate testing methods.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and team‑management abilities.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to work in a fast‑paced construction environment.
