About the role

Join Varsity Tutors' Live Learning Platform as an online Structural Engineering Tutor. You will work remotely, setting your own schedule while helping students master complex structural concepts and prepare for exams such as the PE.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one tutoring sessions via the platform’s live video interface.
• Explain structural analysis methods, reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and foundation design.
• Guide students through code‑based design using ACI and AISC specifications.
• Assist learners in solving indeterminate structures, seismic design problems, and dynamic analysis.
• Provide practice problems and feedback to reinforce learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of structural engineering topics and building code requirements.
• Ability to break down complex concepts into understandable steps.
• Experience preparing students for advanced undergraduate, graduate, or professional licensure exams.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching style.
