About the role

Join Varsity Tutors' Live Learning Platform as an online Nursing Tutor and help students nationwide master nursing concepts. Work from the comfort of your home, set your own schedule, and earn competitive rates while supporting learners preparing for clinical rotations and the NCLEX.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one virtual tutoring sessions covering nursing fundamentals, health assessment, pharmacology, pathophysiology, and specialty areas.
• Guide students through clinical reasoning, medication calculations, care‑plan development, and interpretation of lab values.
• Use case‑based learning and NCLEX‑style questions to reinforce concepts and boost exam readiness.
• Adapt instruction to each student’s learning style and progress, providing clear explanations and feedback.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of nursing curricula for ADN and BSN programs.
• Experience preparing students for clinical rotations and the NCLEX examination.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, friendly teaching style.
• Ability to identify common student challenges and tailor explanations accordingly.
