Learning and Development Specialist

About the role

The Learning and Development Specialist designs, develops and delivers a range of learning solutions—including synchronous and asynchronous e‑learning—to support regulatory, technical, leadership and professional development needs. These initiatives align with key business priorities and help advance the organization’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and interpret training and development needs within the assigned function or business unit.
• Develop and execute learning solutions in partnership with divisional resources, leadership and subject‑matter experts.
• Ensure cost‑effective design, delivery, measurement, evaluation and continuous improvement of training programs.
• Maintain department‑specific training processes and programs.
• Focus solutions on performance outcomes using a systematic, results‑oriented approach.
• Oversee project communication, providing status updates and addressing stakeholder concerns.
• Make financial and operational decisions that enhance business outcomes.
• Facilitate learning through various delivery methods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Experience applying systematic processes to identify and close human performance gaps.
• Ability to design cost‑effective, ethically sound learning solutions.
• Proficiency in measuring and evaluating learning impact and using data to drive improvements.
• Knowledge of curriculum and training design principles, adult learning styles and business acumen.
