Laboratory Assistant – Full‑Time 6‑Month Contract

About the role

Dynacare is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join its Vaughan health‑services centre. You will process blood and other specimens, enter requisitions and results accurately, and provide compassionate customer service to patients.

Key responsibilities

• Collect blood samples and other specimens using venipuncture and other phlebotomy techniques.
• Perform ECGs, Holter monitor hookups, paternity, urine, drug and breath‑alcohol collections.
• Sort, label, and transport specimens according to SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
• Enter patient, test, and requisition data accurately into the laboratory information system.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Required profile

• Secondary school diploma plus a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course.
• Ability to work day shifts (7:00 am – 3:00 pm) Monday‑Saturday.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to provide empathetic patient care.
