HR Generalist – Labor Relations (Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a manufacturing facility located near Brampton, Ontario. The role focuses on labor‑relations, union contract compliance and employee relations within a unionized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as liaison between management and union representatives, handling communication, grievance investigations and documentation.
• Support labor negotiations and provide HR expertise during collective bargaining sessions.
• Ensure compliance with all union contract provisions, including wage, benefits and working‑condition regulations.
• Address employee concerns, resolve grievances and maintain positive labor‑management relations.
• Maintain accurate records of union activities, process related paperwork such as dues, elections and contract updates.
• Deliver training to managers and supervisors on union awareness, contract interpretation and grievance handling.
• Prepare reports and documentation for union representatives, management and regulatory agencies to meet reporting obligations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of HR experience in a unionized environment with solid knowledge of collective bargaining processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, capable of building relationships with both union and management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
