Head of Operations for Wellness Education Platform

About the role

The Embody Lab is seeking a Head of Operations to partner with the founder and scale the organization from a founder‑led model to a mature, multi‑program learning business. This full‑time, contractor‑based position will oversee all operational functions of the wellness education platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead programming delivery, continuing education, production, faculty operations, finance, people operations, live events, and technology.
• Build and refine the finance, people, and operations stack for a contractor‑heavy organization.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing & Growth as a peer leader.
• Manage the CE Program Manager and oversee short‑form education initiatives.
• Report directly to the founder and provide strategic operational insight.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading operations in a fast‑growing, education‑oriented or wellness‑focused organization.
• Comfortable managing a largely contractor‑based workforce.
• Strong authority and visibility into impact with a builder’s mindset.
• Ability to work independently as an annual independent contractor.

Required skills

What we offer

• Monthly retainer between CAD 15,000 and CAD 18,000, paid in Canadian dollars.
