About the role
Join Sobeys Inc. as a Food Production Clerk at the Alberta Central Kitchen. You will work in a fast‑paced environment preparing a variety of hot and cold food products while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble food ingredients, apply labels, and prepare trays efficiently.
- Prepare hot or cold food items according to recipes, including meat cutting, soups, breads, and ready‑to‑cook meals.
- Operate production equipment safely, such as cutters, slicers, and ovens.
- Maintain clean and safe workstations in compliance with food safety and GFSI standards.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lb and work in a cool environment (1–4 °C).
- Work night shifts and weekends as required.
- Record production information in appropriate logs and follow all relevant policies and procedures.
Required profile
- Previous experience in food production or handling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a consistent work pace.
- Team‑oriented, motivated and safety‑conscious.
- Willingness to accept and implement feedback.
- Ability to adapt to changes in manufacturing processes.
Required skills
- Operation of production equipment such as cutters, slicers, and ovens.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and GFSI standards.
