About the role

Join Varsity Tutors' Live Learning Platform as an online Financial Accounting Tutor. You will work from home, set your own schedule, and help students across the country master accounting concepts and prepare for exams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1‑on‑1 virtual tutoring sessions focused on financial accounting topics.
• Explain the accounting cycle, journal entries, trial balances, and financial statement preparation.
• Guide students through GAAP principles, accrual accounting, adjusting entries, and financial ratio analysis.
• Adapt lessons using T‑account exercises, real‑company statement analysis, and customized practice sets.
• Prepare learners for intermediate accounting courses, CPA examinations, and business analysis projects.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of financial accounting concepts and curricula.
• Ability to break down complex topics into clear, step‑by‑step explanations.
• Experience teaching students at introductory to intermediate levels.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, friendly teaching style.
• Flexibility to adjust instruction to diverse learning styles.
