PC Basic Computer Skills Tutor

About the role

We are looking for a remote PC Basic Computer Skills Tutor to join the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform. You will provide one‑on‑one online instruction to students of all ages, helping them become confident users of Windows computers and essential software.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver live, interactive tutoring sessions covering Windows navigation, File Explorer, Settings, web browsing, email setup, Microsoft Office basics, printer configuration and security features.
• Guide students through desktop customization, file organization, system updates and basic troubleshooting.
• Adapt lessons to each learner’s pace using visual guides, step‑by‑step walkthroughs and hands‑on practice.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to foster independence and digital confidence.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating system and common desktop applications.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to beginners, including adult learners and seniors.
• Friendly, engaging teaching style with excellent communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable managing your own schedule and invoicing.

What we offer

• Flexible, self‑set schedule – tutor as much or as little as you like.
• Pay up to $40 per hour, with incremental increases for repeat sessions.
