Course Lecturer – English Conversation for Health Professionals

About the role

The Dialogue McGill "Anglais Santé" program seeks a qualified Course Lecturer to design and deliver virtual English conversation workshops for health‑care and social‑service professionals. The role is focused on improving bilingual capacity in Quebec’s health sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 16‑hour conversation modules for assigned proficiency levels, aligned with predefined learning outcomes.
• Deliver live, virtual workshops (Monday‑Friday) across multiple time slots, including evenings.
• Record each session and upload recordings to the MyCourses LMS within one week.
• Assess student performance, approve final grades, and provide accommodations when needed.
• Update content as curriculum changes and support the supervisor with academic matters.

Required profile

• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
• Experience teaching adult learners, preferably in health or social‑service contexts.
• Availability for at least one evening session per week.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zoom for live instruction.
• Experience using a Learning Management System (MyCourses).
