Controller – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

The Controller will lead all accounting and finance functions for a consumer electronics company in Niagara Falls, reporting directly to the CEO. This senior position provides strategic financial guidance and ensures robust internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual statements.
• Develop and manage the annual budget, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Provide financial insights to support growth, cost optimisation and operational efficiency.
• Direct tax compliance for GST/HST, U.S. sales tax, corporate taxes and other regulatory filings.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain relationships with auditors and financial partners.
• Identify and mitigate financial, operational and compliance risks.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA designation (required).
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior role.
