Business Analyst – Data (7‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst – Data to join a client’s team in Vancouver on a 7‑month contract. The role bridges business stakeholders and the technical squad, translating data‑related business needs into clear, actionable specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery of new data‑foundation and business‑initiated projects, gathering requirements using proven analysis techniques.
• Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the technical team, including architects and developers.
• Translate business requirements into detailed specifications and create visual models to communicate complex concepts.
• Document business processes and produce certified functional documents for enterprise use.
• Organise and facilitate user acceptance testing with business users.
• Identify current and future business processes, recommend improvements, and support change‑management activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Data & Analytics.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver documentation efficiently.
