About the role

Apple's Tools & Framework organization is seeking a senior software engineer to design and implement critical systems that streamline developer workflows. You will build highly available services and frameworks that enable engineers to deliver high‑quality software efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain distributed computing infrastructure and reliability test systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to define features, architecture, and implementation plans.
• Document solutions and provide guidance to engineering teams.
• Gather workflow insights from developers to inform product decisions.
• Use metrics and data to identify performance and reliability issues and drive improvements.

Required profile

• 6+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in a strongly typed or functional language such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
• Deep understanding of software design principles, architecture, and cloud‑based infrastructure.
• Experience working with databases, APIs, and performance‑oriented metrics.

What we offer

• Base salary range $150,700 – $285,000 per year, dependent on experience and location.
