Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) – Pediatric Nephrology

About the role

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the Montreal Children’s Hospital is seeking a full‑time Contract Academic Staff member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor (Clinical). The successful clinician‑scientist will join a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive nephrology care, education, and research.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and dialysis services for 6‑8 weeks per year.
• Cover the transplant service, including a half‑day clinic, for 6‑8 weeks per year.
• Participate in on‑call duties equally with other nephrologists.
• Teach and supervise residents and fellows in the accredited Royal College Pediatric Nephrology Residency program.
• Conduct and publish clinical and translational research in pediatric nephrology.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient safety and quality of care.

Required profile

• Medical degree with certification in pediatric nephrology and eligibility for licensure in Quebec.
• Demonstrated record of clinical excellence and research productivity.
• Experience in teaching medical trainees and supervising clinical teams.
• Commitment to the academic mission of McGill University and the MUHC.
