Research Assistant – Montreal-Paris Neurobank Project

About the role

The Montreal-Paris Neurobank Project is seeking a Research Assistant to support data collection and participant management under the direction of Dr. Najmeh Khalili-Mahani. This full‑time, fixed‑term position involves hands‑on work with MEG and MRI scanners and coordination of study participants.

Key responsibilities

• Support the recruitment team by contacting participants and scheduling visits.
• Book and manage scanner time, including overtime coordination and cancellations.
• Assist trainees and lab members with preparing experimental materials, such as downloading files or code.
• Accompany participants to MEG and MRI sessions and ensure their comfort and safety.
• Administer cognitive tests, enter results into the database, and verify data transfer from scanners.
• Review raw data for artifacts and report findings.
• Conduct MEG acquisition according to project protocols.

Required profile

• Fluency in English (level 3/4) and functional knowledge of French.
• Eligibility to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
• Ability to work onsite at the Montreal Neuro campus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Hourly salary of $30.54 CAD.
