About the role
We are seeking a proactive Administrative Assistant I to support multiple advisors within a leading North American financial institution. This 12‑month contract position offers the chance to work onsite in Toronto, handling a variety of administrative tasks in a fast‑moving banking environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and maintain calendars for several advisors, resolving conflicts with creative solutions.
- Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding activities for team members.
- Provide email triage and prioritize tasks on behalf of senior leaders.
- Perform ad‑hoc administrative duties with a focus on accuracy and due diligence.
- Communicate project status and day‑to‑day updates to the immediate team.
- Offer vacation and temporary coverage for colleagues, supporting additional leaders as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma (required) with 1‑2 years of administrative experience.
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication, active listening, and discretion with confidential information.
Required skills
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with internet applications and the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
