Youth Peer Worker – Casual Contract (up to 10 hrs/week)

About the role

Woolwich Community Health Centre is seeking a Youth Peer Worker to support activities at the Wellesley Youth Centre. This casual contract runs from September 8 to December 31, 2026, offering up to 10 hours per week at $21 per hour. The role provides an opportunity to use lived experience to help youth aged 5‑18 while developing personal confidence and leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Assist staff with program activities, events, and drop‑in sessions.
• Support communication with parents and youth participants.
• Set up and clean up rooms for activities.
• Take responsibility for specific activities, demonstrating leadership.
• Manage multiple competing demands and maintain a positive rapport with participants.

Required profile

• High school diploma or higher education.
• Interest in working with children and youth (ages 5‑18).
• Ability to manage multiple demands and work as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• COVID‑19 vaccination required; First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
• Flexible availability for after‑school and evening hours.
