Woodworking Machine Operator

About the role

Join Kingswood Interiors Ltd as a Woodworking Machine Operator in Calgary. You will work on a busy shop floor fabricating and repairing wooden components for furniture and other wood products, using a range of specialized machines.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures and other wood products.
• Operate gluing machines to bond wood pieces and press wood veneer onto surfaces.
• Run preset special‑purpose woodworking machines to shape components.
• Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment regularly.
• Replace worn parts as required.

Required profile

• Perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks in a noisy, dusty environment.
• Handle heavy loads safely.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Wear personal steel‑toed safety boots at all times.
• Have 1‑7 months of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Operation of computerized woodworking machines.
• Use of sanding equipment.
• Handling of door‑forming machines.
• Operation of gluing and veneer‑press machines.
