About the role
Emil Anderson Maintenance is seeking seasonal Winter Highway Maintenance Workers for Service Area 20 (Robson). The role involves operating plow and sanding trucks, performing road repairs, and responding quickly to snow and ice events to keep highways safe during the winter months.
Key responsibilities
- Clear snow and ice using plow and sanding equipment, including blade changes.
- Perform roadside vegetation maintenance, drainage clearing, pothole patching, and litter removal.
- Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip equipment inspections and routine maintenance on trucks.
Required profile
- Valid Canadian driver’s licence (minimum Class 3) with a clean abstract and Air‑Brake endorsement.
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and on‑call during snow events.
- Previous snowplowing or heavy‑equipment experience is an asset; Occupational First Aid Level 1 is a plus.
Required skills
- Safe operation of snowplow and sanding trucks.
- Heavy‑equipment maintenance and basic repairs.
- Conducting pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections.
