Welding Machine Operator

About the role

Interpret welding process specifications, operate a range of manual, semi‑automatic and fully‑automated welding equipment, and ensure that all welds meet required standards.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes.
• Operate manual, semi‑automatic and fully‑automated welding, flame‑cutting and oxygen‑arc cutting equipment.
• Fit, braze and torch‑straighten metal components.
• Examine completed welds for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance on welding, brazing and soldering tools.

Required profile

• Flexibility, organized, punctual and hardworking.
• Team‑player with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and maintain hand‑eye coordination.

Required skills

• Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
• Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG).
• Flux‑Core Arc Welding (FCAW).
• Operation of manual or semi‑automatic flame‑cutting equipment.
• Operation of oxygen‑arc cutting (AOC) equipment.
