Water and Sewer Superintendent – Site Lead

About the role

The Site Superintendent – Sewer and Water oversees day‑to‑day operations of water, sewer and earthworks projects, allocating resources, equipment and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with contract specifications, schedules and company standards. The primary objective is to deliver projects safely, on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct water and sewer projects in compliance with contract documents and company procedures.
• Lead crews, operators and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality work and meet project milestones.
• Oversee installation of underground utilities, trenching, pipe laying, bedding, backfilling and testing.
• Coordinate with inspectors, engineers and the Project Manager on schedules, deliveries and approvals.
• Enforce safety requirements, conduct daily Tailgate Talks and manage Job Hazard Analyses.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience as a Site Superintendent or senior foreman in water/sewer projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills in English.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Proven problem‑solving, time‑management and multi‑tasking abilities.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with at least three years driving experience.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Computer proficiency for daily reports, logs and safety documentation.
• Class 5 driver’s licence.
