Virtual Hospitalist (Physician) – Remote in BC

About the role

Teladoc Health Canada is seeking a licensed physician to provide virtual in‑patient care to patients across British Columbia. This remote Hospitalist role offers flexible scheduling while delivering high‑quality primary care to underserved communities.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage in‑patients via Teladoc’s virtual platform.
• Order and review laboratory and imaging results, addressing emerging clinical issues.
• Collaborate with on‑site clinicians, remote physicians, and nursing staff to prioritize patient cases.
• Participate in virtual rounds, huddles, and interdisciplinary meetings, ensuring smooth handovers.
• Escalate complex cases to shift leads or medical leadership as needed.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted licensure with CPSBC and CCFP designation (CFPC Board Certification).
• 1–3 years of clinical experience working as a hospitalist.
• Passion for equitable, high‑quality care delivered virtually.
• Comfortable using digital platforms and electronic medical records.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
