Vice President, Project Delivery

About the role

Kanin Energy is seeking a Vice President of Project Delivery to lead end‑to‑end execution of its waste‑heat‑to‑power and other industrial power projects across North America. This senior, hands‑on position oversees the transition from development handoff through commissioning and commercial operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project execution for the full portfolio of waste‑heat‑to‑power, combined heat‑and‑power, and power‑generation projects from Notice to Proceed to close‑out.
• Establish and enforce best‑in‑class standards for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Drive project planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and change management processes.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing project delivery team including project managers, engineers, and owner’s representatives.
• Oversee EPC contractors, major equipment suppliers, and third‑party engineering firms; manage vendor negotiations, contracts, performance, and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate closely with Development, Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams to ensure seamless handoffs and alignment with financing and commercial milestones.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading complex industrial energy or power‑generation projects.
• Proven track record delivering capital projects on schedule, within budget, and to performance standards.
• Strong understanding of EPC interfaces, vendor management, and construction in operating industrial facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing, safety‑focused teams.
