Vice President, Financial Controller

About the role

This position is a senior finance leadership role within a global investment banking platform, supporting the Canadian finance organization. The Vice President, Financial Controller will partner closely with senior leadership to oversee financial and regulatory reporting, tax, treasury, audit coordination and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial and regulatory reporting activities.
• Prepare and review IFRS financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Support tax, treasury, audit, and internal control functions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Tax, FP&A and business leaders across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Mentor junior team members and support finance operations.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, audit or regulatory reporting.
• Experience in a broker‑dealer, investment dealer, capital markets or banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, regulatory reporting and internal controls.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders in a lean, hands‑on environment.
