Ultrasound Technologist (0.8 FTE) – Diagnostic Imaging

About the role

The Diagnostic Imaging Department at Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) on a modified full‑time basis (0.8 FTE). You will deliver high‑quality ultrasound services to patients while supporting the hospital’s mission of compassionate, collaborative care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including small parts, general, abdominal, obstetrical, vascular (carotid), ABI, and musculoskeletal studies.
• Mentor and supervise students on clinical placements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety.
• Maintain documentation, equipment, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in on‑call and standby schedules as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Canadian accredited ultrasound training program.
• Current CMRTO membership with professional liability insurance.
• Active membership in Sonography Canada.
• NT (Nuchal Translucency) certification preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Successful completion of police vulnerable sector check and pre‑employment health assessment.
