Truck & Transport Mechanic – Full‑time Term/Contract

About the role

Join a dynamic team as a Truck & Transport Mechanic, performing maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on commercial trucks and trailers. You will work in a fast‑paced, dusty environment, ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck, trailer and automotive systems, following manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect, test and road‑test mechanical units to locate faults, diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Review work orders, estimate parts and labour costs, and complete detailed service reports.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, advise customers on repair needs and coach apprentices on best practices.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a truck or transport mechanic.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to pass a criminal record check.
• Trade certification(s) – Truck & Transport Mechanic, Truck‑Trailer Repairer, Red Seal endorsements.
• Ability to work standing for extended periods, handle tools, and maintain attention to detail.

Required skills

• Engine repair and overhaul (diesel and standard).
• Electrical/electronic diagnostics and fuel‑emission systems.
• Brake, hydraulic and drivetrain component servicing.
• Standard transmission repair, auto‑body welding and front‑end component work.
