Traffic Supervisor

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Traffic Supervisor to oversee all traffic operations on construction sites in Ontario. The role ensures compliance with federal, provincial and municipal regulations while coordinating traffic control measures to maintain safety and efficiency for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) on‑site.
• Direct all traffic operations, including coordination with subcontractors such as concrete barrier installers and line painters.
• Maintain direct authority over traffic personnel and procedures.
• Liaise with municipalities, transit providers and the contracting authority.
• Monitor queue lengths, transit travel times and implement corrective actions.
• Respond to and document traffic‑related incidents within 48 hours.
• Record daily traffic measures and activities.
• Participate in regular traffic management meetings.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of federal, provincial and local traffic laws and OH&S regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and on rotating day/night shifts.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with subcontractors and public agencies.
• Willingness to be on‑call as required.
