Tow Truck Driver – Full‑time Permanent

About the role

DM Towing Ltd. is seeking a reliable tow truck driver to join its team in Abbotsford on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role involves providing roadside assistance, transporting vehicles, and ensuring safe and efficient operations while delivering professional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and adjust routes using computer‑based navigation and GPS equipment to minimise fuel use and emissions.
• Drive lighter, special‑purpose tow trucks to transport vehicles and goods safely.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes and any cold‑storage equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Handle payments for goods and provide courteous customer service.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• Attention to detail, ability to perform repetitive tasks and sit for periods.
• Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, good judgement and organisational ability.
• Experience in a similar role is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GPS navigation systems.
• Comfort using computer equipment for route planning and record keeping.
