About the role
Canada Post delivers billions of items each year. As a temporary, on‑call delivery agent (letter carrier) you’ll be the face of Canada Post in your community, ensuring customers and businesses receive their mail and parcels.
Key responsibilities
- Start the day at the depot sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
- Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
- Deliver mail and packages by foot or vehicle to customers on your route.
- Return to the depot to unload incoming mail and packages for later delivery.
Required profile
- Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least three years.
- Physical ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Availability to be on‑call.
- Ability to read, write and speak English and/or French.
